Coloring Down the Lines -- Old Olive

It's blog hop Wednesday.  You should have arrived from Liz's blogsite.  I haven't looked yet, but she always has something really gorgeous.  Our challenge this week was to use Old Olive with either Soft Suede and Crushed Curry, or with Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler.

I still have no idea where I was going with this card.  I received a piece of burlap ribbon from my friend Buffy last week and I really wanted to use that burlap.  That's about all I had in mind.  I turned all sorts of different directions and ended sponging and streaking the Soft Suede and Crushed Curry on Whisper White cardstock.  I matted that piece with Soft Suede on top of an Old Olive base.  Then I decided to throw it in the trash.  Didn't like it.  Then I took it out and added the 4 candy dots and sponged a little more.  Then I threw it in the trash.  Then I got mad at myself, pulled it out, took a picture and decided it is what it is.  The colors are right, the design is about where my mojo is -- in the basement.  Well it will go in my stash or the trash, but I doubt I'll send it to anyone.  Perhaps next week my mojo will find its way home.

So now let's hop on to the next on our list.  That would be Teri's blogsite.  Teri always has something interesting.  I think we should go take a look.

Until next time.......

Sandy

Sandy, I think it's very pretty. NOT trash worthy, that's for sure. I love the burlap. Makes a great accent. Hugs

We vote... No trash! We like it, and the burlap ribbon was a great texture-touch!

I really like this - textures work very well together - and it's one of the best streaking ones I've seen!
