Coloring Down The Lines -- Old Olive

Here we are again with another Wednesday blog hop.  You should have arrived today from Joni's blogsite.   Love, love, her creation.

Our coloring down the lines color combination for this week is Old Olive with Certainly Celery.  We are doing the duos now rather than a trio of colors.  With these 2 greens, the first thing that came to mind, of course, was St. Patrick's Day.  So I made a shamrock from the Hearts Framelits.  I love that I have been able to use these hearts for both Valentine's Day and now St. Patrick's Day.  And of course, for any other lovey type day.

I used an Old Olive base with Whisper White.  On the white I scored the right side and bottom just to break up the white a little.  Then I embossed some Certainly Celery and some Old Olive and cut the hearts.  That is all there was to it.  I hope you like my take on the color combination.

I wonder what I will find when I get up tomorrow morning.  I'm in the West Virginia mountains, and am supposed to be right in the bullseye of the snow storm this time.  This afternoon they started by saying we could have 12-18" but later in the day they upped it to perhaps 18" or more, and possibly in some areas 2 feet.   Yikes, my daffodils are up and will be buried.  What crazy weather!  I can't complain, however, because we were missed during the last 2 East Coast storms, and this is the first significant snow we have had this winter.  I think we can handle it.  We have wood on the porch, along with a broom and shovel, we have food in the pantry, and we have plenty of books to read if the power goes off.  And those of you who have seen some of the pictures of our river when it floods, know that when this snow melts -- and it is supposed to melt fast with 50 degrees on Thursday -- we will be flooded yet again.  What fun we have in our very special mountains -- but we love it.  Wherever you are, stay safe, and stay warm.

Now let's go over to see Teri's creation.  I'm always excited to see what she is doing for us.  She certainly has talent.

Crafty Hugs,
Sandy

What a fresh take on the shamrock card! I love all of the textures, and you are right, I think the scoring on the right side was cool!
Please stay warm, (and inside)... this is no joking snow!
