Coloring Down the Lines -- Cherry Cobbler

Welcome to another Coloring Down the Lines Wednesday blog hop.  You probably arrived from Pam's Blogsite.  Did you enjoy her creation?  She always tickles our creative bones with something nice.   This week our challenge was to use Cherry Cobbler.  The Color Coach gave us a choice of Cherry Cobbler with Daffodil Delight and Early Espresso OR Cherry Cobbler with Night of Navy and Pumpkin Pie.  Well I knew that the Cherry Cobbler and Night of Navy would be a really good combination, and adding Pumpkin Pie would be my challenge.   Uck!  No matter what the Coach says, I DO NOT LIKE Pumpkin Pie with Cherry Cobbler.  I tried to hide it best I could.  I also had in my mind that I was going to do the shaving cream technique.  No matter how many times I tried to put a lot, or a little Pumpkin Pie, or a tiny bit of Cherry Cobbler, there was just no way orange and red were going together -- in my mind.  So my shaving cream panel is only Cherry Cobbler and Night of Navy.  Now, I almost took the Daffodil Delight and substituted that, but it would have been cheating.  So here is my creation, with yucky orange. 

I did about 4 sheets of shaving cream paper, using 2 different pans of shaving cream.  (I was practicing)   I spread my shaving cream on a cookie sheet.  First I dropped the inker drops and mixed around with a toothpick.  That was too slow, so I used the back end of a little paint brush.  That worked better.  By the time I was on my 3rd and 4th sheets of glossy cardstock I had begun to use my fingers, and eventually most of my hand.  I had colored shaving cream all over the sink, and even on my wrists and elbows.  But I sure had fun.  Next time I'm going to start with a big pile of shaving cream and just dig in.  Use cheap, foam, shaving cream and you won't have to worry about wasting any when you get to really playing in it -- Tee hee.   Try it, you'll love playing with this technique. 

The inside of this card is simple, just the bird friends and a little sponging.  Hope you like it.
