Spring is Coming

Our challenge for the Morning Chat Group over at Butternut Sage Designs here was to make a spring card design.  I have been so ready to start designing with flowers, trees -- with leaves -- and sunny, blue, skies.  Well this card is blue and it has flowers.  I hope it is a forerunner of spring.  I don't have anything to complain about, however, because so far this has been the mildest winter I can ever remember.   I grew up in Wisconsin, where we had snow on the ground usually from December through March.   And 2 years ago, here on my mountain in West Virginia, between Christmas and the 10th of January, we had 3 snows totalling 48 inches.   I have tons of pictures of that white stuff everywhere, and walkway tunnels to the garage, to the satellite dish, to the bird feeder, and to the wood pile.  We didn't get off the mountain for quite some time -- not until people from the outside could get in to plow.  It has been warm here for the past few months, but I am still ready for spring and all the pretty flowers.  In the meantime, I hope you enjoy my spring challenge card.

This card opens by untying the bow and lifting the right side flap.

I wanted to show you a little closeup of the focal image on the card.  I used the framelits dies, and I not only cut a framelit, but I embossed the next smaller size to give the image a frame.  Then I sponged the outer edge to set off the image.  I love these framelits, and I love their versatility.

This is the inside of my card.  You can see in this picture how the card opens.

I hope you like my spring challenge.  If you want to join us, we would love to see your creation.  Just make a spring card by no later than this Monday, place it on your blogsite, then link it to the Butter Nut Sage site.  You can do that by going to Donna's (hi Donna) blogsite -- here is her site.   Click on the "Morning Chat Challenge" on the top bar, and go to the link button within that site.  Once you click on the link you will be given instructions that are easy to follow.  Hope to see you there.

Until next time..........

Crafty Hugs,
Sandy
