Color Blog Hop Wednesday -- May 25, 2016

I can finally say spring has arrived!  It was 80 degrees today.  Sounds a lot like summer to me.  Weird weather.  Lots of rain the past few days.  Enough to almost flood out our bridge, but not quite.

Today is our blog hop Wednesday.  We have a very pretty flower and some nice, soft, colors.  I had my Paper Pumpkin Club over today to work on our little orange boxes.  Inspiration hit, and I decided to try using the open weave of the card front in that kit as a stencil to see how it worked.  I angled it a little for more interest than just straight lines.  I think it works pretty well.

Here is what I ended up with.  I used the pink, yellow, mint, and plum to sponge the stencil.  Then I stamped the flower from Butterfly Basics, and some of the spots.  Speaking of spots, have you seen the uninked spots in our new catalog?  I love having those little spots to take along on craft days or on trips.  They don't take up much room and are easy to use.  I can't wait to get my hands on a few.  Although I have collected quite a few from the Paper Pumpkin kits over the months, I want to make my own with the new in colors.

Back to our hop.  You more than likely arrived here by way of Liz's blogsite.  I saw her earlier tonight at our May demo meeting.  I did not get to see the card she was working on, but I know she was headed home to finish it.  All our crafters on this hop have a lot of talent, let's continue to Robbie's blogsite now.

See you soon,
Sandy

Like your card, Sandy. I like the checkered interest you added to the top and bottom. Really nice!
