Coloring Down the Lines -- Old Olive

Yaaay, it's time for our Wednesday Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  You probably came to my blog by way of Pam's blogsite.  Every week I have fun looking at what nice creations she has, and I always pray that I follow with something half as nice.

This week we are challenged to use Old Olive.  The SU Color Coach gives us two color options to use with Old Olive, one is Not Quite Navy and Cajun Craze, and the other is Pretty in Pink and Night of Navy.  I  used Not Quite Navy and Cajun Craze.  I haven't used Cajun Craze in a long while and wanted to use it again.  But, I found that I had only 1 (that is one!!!) sheet of cardstock left.  Better order some quick.

I wanted to play around a little with this one and add some levels of interest, so I used my Papaya Collage stamp set and then embossed over the top with the Adorning Accents Folder.  The flowers are stamped in Cajun Craze and the centers are filled with rhinestones (love the bling).  The flourishes from Everything Eleanor look like they are dark ink but they really are just Versa Mark.  I often use Versa Mark to do a more subtle background, but this time it isn't subtle.  I like it.

The inside is another flourish, however it is inked with Old Olive, and the flowers are Cajun Craze again.  This time I used Dazzling Details for the centers so there wouldn't be so many rhinestones to fit into an envelope.  Same with the envelopes, green flourish and Cajun Craze flowers with Dazzling Details centers.

I hope you like my challenge this week.  I have been having a great time using the Color Coach to meet the color challenges.   Now head on over to Teri's blogsite to see what she has for you.  My that gal has been doing some wonderful stuff.  I stalk her site a lot, not just on hop day.

Come back to see me again soon.  I hope everyone has a safe and fun Fourth of July.  Eat lots of hotdogs, hamburgers and watermelon.  But don't eat too much.  Enjoy the fireworks, and be sure to thank a vet for all he/she has done to keep this great country free.

Until next time.................

Crafty Hugs,
Sandy
