Blog Hop Wednesday -- September 30, 2015

Hi everyone.  It's blog hop Wednesday.  We have a few gals out of town or out for technical difficulties, so we are small today.  But I hope we still pack a punch.  You should have come by way of Liz's blogsite.  I know what she was doing this week.  Wow, it is super and I love it.

Here is our inspiration piece and our colors.  Very subtle, and very pretty.  Our colors are Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Basic Gray, Lost Lagoon and Soft Sky.

So this is what I did with our color challenge this week.  No flowers.  I think I'm done with flowers for a while.  In fact, I have been working a lot on fall, Halloween, and some Christmas cards.  I have given in to the fact that summer is over.  We've had a ton of rain today, and expect a lot more over the next few days.  That probably means the leaves will start to fall and the temps go down.  Oh well, I love fall, I just don't love the icy winter.

Now you should head on to Robbie's blogsite, unless you started there.  If so, then I finish it.  Robbie has been working hard and she, too, has a gorgeous creation today.  Something a little different.  Also she has been working hard on card kits.  Go take a look.

See you soon,
Sandy

Blog Hop Wednesday -- September 23, 2015

Welcome to blog hop Wednesday.  Our colors are Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Rose Red, Early Espresso and Tip Top Taupe.  I tried to further challenge myself to make a fall card.  Hmmmm....there was no way I could turn pinks into fall leaves.  So the best I could do was to incorporate leafless trees.

Here is the card I made to use the colors.  I got them all in, including the shiny center to the flowers. Now that I look at the photo of my card the large pink flower looks just a little like a large pink turtle.  Sheesh, it is late and perhaps I need to get to sleep.  Must have been just a little too much Kool-Aid tonight.  Ha!

Liz' blogsite should have come before me and Robbie's blogsite should follow.  They both have great creations.  I know because they are so very talented and they always do have something beautiful.

I think we are coming to a close with pretty flowers.  Hopefully next week we will have something fall or Halloween, and soon we will be into Christmas.  I love fall, but I don't like it when it gets cold and icy.

Whatever your weather, enjoy your day.

Sandy

Color Blog Hop Wednesday -- September 16, 2015

Good day everyone.  You are back for another blog hop Wednesday.  We have some colors for you.  Oh boy, I couldn't quite see these colors, but I used them anyway.  Then my photo came out rather bland.  So, I apologize.  I'm going to try to set up some type of photo corner in my craft room with an OTT light.  Perhaps the colors will be more true.

I believe you have come to me from Liz's blogsite.  I haven't seen yet what she did this week.  I wonder if she managed flowers from these waffles.  Whatever she did, I'm sure it is great.  Our colors were Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Blackberry Bliss, Basic Black and Pear Pizzaz .  I wanted to do something with Halloween so I focused on the black and green.  At first I tried to work with Blackberry Bliss, but I really, really, had trouble with my ink pad.  In my opinion, Blackberry Bliss is always way to black for me so I always stamp off at least once.  No matter what I did this time my juicy ink pad kept filling in the lettering of the solid circle stamp in the Among the Branches set.  I soaked up some ink on the pad with tissue and I also left the pad open for about 8 hours, but still could not get an image with lettering.  So I changed the color to Pear Pizzaz.  Does anyone else have problems with Blackberry Bliss, or any other juicy pad for that matter.

Well, here is my card using the colors.  As I said, I don't think the colors are true in the photo.  I think it is rather nice in person.  I plan to use it for a Halloween card rather than a trash can card.  What do you think, is it a keeper?

So now you should hop to Robbie's blogsite.  I haven't seen her challenge yet either, but she is such a talented gal that I know once again it will be super.  So continue on now to Robbie's site.

See you again soon,
Sandy

Blog Hop Wednesday -- September 9, 2015

Hi everyone.  Welcome back to our blog hop Wednesday with more pretty colors.  Our colors this week are Garden green, Sahara Sand, Smoky Slate, Rose Red and Blackberry Bliss.  You should have come to me by way of Liz's blogsite.  I'm going to take a guess and guess that she did something really pretty with flowers.  I, on the other hand did not want to do another flower.  In fact I am working on Halloween and Christmas.   I need to get going on Halloween treat bags and cards for all 7 grands and also at least my brother's 3 girls.  Halloween is one of the few holidays that I like to do cards and/or treats.   And since we do a New Years party every year I always get my Christmas cards out by the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  I need to get going.

Ok, so after all that blabber, here is the inspiration piece for our color challenge today.  And below that is the list of Stampin'Up! colors.

Next is my Christmas card using our colors for this week.  Not exactly Christmas colors, but close enough to fudge a holiday card.

Hard to tell, but I did use our colors for this week.  The largest panel, even though it looks pretty white, is actually Sahara Sand.  So is one of the tags.  The pine cones are Blackberry Bliss, but they look dark enough to be brown.  So I used all the colors and am pretty happy I managed a Christmas card out of the colors.

Now you should head over to Robbie's blogsite.  Have you seen her recent video?  She is starting to do videos, and I am watching for the next one.  If you started this hop with Robbie, then you are finished here.  If not, then continue around from here until you see everything.  I think we have 7 this week.

Hope you all are having fun with your new holiday stamps and holiday toys.  If you don't have enough, then contact me, I will see to it you get a nice big order in and have plenty to play with this holiday season -- tee hee

See you soon,
Sandy

Blog Hop Wednesday -- September 2, 2015

Welcome to blog hop Wednesday.  Have you arrived from Liz's blogsite, or are you starting here.  In either case you can continue from here to Robbie's blogsite and go all the way around.  There are some fabulous creations today.  What pretty colors.  I believe Liz chose the inspiration piece today.

Yikes!  I just realized it is September already.  Where did the summer go.  I thought it just started.  I hope you all had a great one.

Our colors are Blushing Bride, Pink Pirouette, Rose Red, Blackberry Bliss (we are giving this color a workout lately), Garden Green and Pool Party.

And here is the card I have created using the challenge colors.  I saw a couple of this type card online recently and decided it finally was time for me to do one.  I hadn't tried this type of cut.  It really is pretty easy and yet looks a little challenging.

The stamp set is Awesomely Artistic and I've only had it about a week or two.  I love every stamp in that set and can't quite figure out why it took me so long to finally get it.  You will probably see this quite a bit from me.  I've already done 3 birthday cards using it and also a get well card.

So continue your hop around our challenge group and enjoy.  See you soon.

Sandy
