Color Blog Hop -- with Border Thinlit or Framelit

Hello everyone.  Well, this week I managed to get something done for posting, unlike last week when I bummed out!  You should have arrived here by way of Liz's blogsite.  We have been challenged to work from this gorgeous, yummy, inspiration piece......  When I looked at this picture, the first thing I had to do was run to the refrigerator and get something nice and cold to drink.  Doesn't it make you want a tall glass of lemonade?  I was really enthused about working with these colors.

Then our fearless leader, Robbie, worked up the comparable Stampin'Up!" colors for us.  Nice colors.  The extra twist for this week is to add a border thinlit or framelit.

Then I started putting some cardstock, ink, etc. together for a card.  Ugh!  I have a wastebasket full of throw aways, despite how much I liked the inspiration piece.  I tried cupcakes, I tried different layers of cardstock, I tried sponging, nothing worked.  On about the 5th try I decided my challenge this week was to make the next attempt work no matter what and no matter how much I had to add or take from it.  So here is what I came up with.  I sure hope next week goes better.

Blog Hop Wednesday -- with Victorian

Hi blog hoppers.  It is Wednesday and you should have arrived by way of Laura's blogsite looking for my creation.   However, I am so sorry, please forgive me.   I don't have one for you today.  I thought I had all day Monday to work on something, but Monday fell apart.  Well, that left all day today (Tuesday), but first thing this morning I ran into problems and they continued all day.  I just got home about 10 minutes ago and it is 10:30 p.m.  I am too tired and no mojo left today.  I am very sorry and hope to be back next week.

I didn't want to jam up the hop at the last minute, so I have continued the hop.  Now please continue around and back to Robbie's site.

Wednesday Blog Hop -- With a Cut Out

Welcome again to Blog Hop Wednesday for our color challenge.  This week we have some really bright colors.  Phew, I'm not sure what I saw in these colors.  I picked them.  I think the day I picked them I was depressed or something????   Anyway, Robbie did a great job of matching the Stampin'Up! colors again.  Our extra twist for this challenge is to use a cut out.

I believe you have arrived from Laura's blogsite along our hopping road.  She is amazing.  I always get stuck on her blog looking and looking and looking.  Love her creations!

Here is the inspiration piece we are using this week.  You will need some sunglasses.

Below is my creation and how I used the above colors.  I used a square die to make the cutout.  The picture on the inside is a combination of a Best Of stamp set and the little bee is from a retired set.  I used all the colors.  Hope you like it.

Now you should continue along your hop to Robbie's blogsite.  Robbie has some really creative things on her site.  Have you seen the super cute punch art she makes for her granddaughter???  Robbie starts the hop so you may have started there.  I am last on the list.

Come back soon.  I sure hope I get going in my craft room.  I have some new supplies I want to play with, but have had so many family activities, vacations, and other chores that cards have taken a back seat.  But I have been working on a scrapbook, so I am at least accomplishing something.
